“Professional Recommended” is not a grade or a certification. It means something specific about how this site is written, and it is worth two minutes of your time to know what.
Every page says what the product actually is
There are three different things sold as “not the manufacturer’s cartridge”, and shops mix them up constantly — sometimes carelessly, sometimes not.

Every product page on this site says which of these you are buying, in the first line of the description. If a page says remanufactured, it is remanufactured.
We do not publish savings claims we cannot stand behind
You will not see “save 70%” on this site. Genuine prices move, and a comparison is only meaningful against a real price on the day you buy. Our prices are on the page — check them against whatever your usual retailer is charging today and judge for yourself.
Firmware risk is stated next to the price
On HP products in particular, a future firmware update can affect whether a cartridge is recognised. That notice sits next to the price on every HP page, not buried in an FAQ, because it is something you need before you buy rather than after.
We do not use the phrases “works with all firmware”, “permanently compatible” or “firmware proof”. Nobody can promise those things.
We would rather tell you not to buy something
A large share of the calls we take on 0800 INKINK end with us telling someone their printer does not need a cartridge — it needs a clean, a reset, or in a few cases replacing. That is a worse day for our sales figures and a better one for the customer, and we have been doing it long enough to think it is the right trade.
Who we are
We are a New Zealand business supplying printer consumables across four sites. Stock is held in Auckland and dispatched same day on orders placed before 2pm. Everything carries a 12 month replacement warranty against print defects.
The technical guides on this site are written from the questions we actually get asked on the phone, which is why they cover things like drum counters and chip handshakes rather than generic advice about turning it off and on again.
